Plugins FAQs

Air WP Sync

Can Air WP Sync update existing posts on my site?

Not directly. Air WP Sync can only update posts that were originally created using the plugin itself. If your posts were created manually or with another tool/plugin, Air WP Sync won't recognize them and therefore can't update them from Airtable.

To start managing existing posts via Air WP Sync:

  1. Export your current posts to Airtable using a separate export plugin or tool.
  2. Once your content is in Airtable, re-import it using Air WP Sync. This will properly link the records and allow updates from Airtable in the future.
  3. Delete the existing old posts.

Can I synchronize my data with ACF fields?

Yes, Air WP Sync is fully compatible with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). The Pro+ version of the plugin allows you to sync your Airtable data with custom post types and ACF fields in WordPress.

You can map a wide range of ACF field types, including: Text, Text Area, Number, Range, Email, URL, Password, Image, File, Select, Checkbox, Radio Button, Button Group, True/False, Link, Taxonomy, Google Map, Date Picker, Date Time Picker, Time Picker, and Message fields.

How are my databases synchronized?

Once you have defined the synchronization frequency and published your connection, relax: everything is automatic. It is also possible to manually synchronize the connection — whenever you want — using the Sync Now button.

I don't see "Downloadable" as a Product Type in my Airtable column. What should I do?

That's totally normal. In WooCommerce, a Downloadable Product is technically a Simple Product with the Downloadable setting enabled.

So in Airtable:

  • Keep the Product Type column set to simple
  • Use the existing Downloadable checkbox field
  • Check the box ✅ for any product that should allow file downloads

There's no need to create a new product type like downloadable — WooCommerce will handle it based on the checkbox.

I've linked my Airtable columns but I don't see the Airtable data

Make sure your column names are perfectly identical between WordPress and Airtable. Column names are case sensitive.

I'm importing Simple Products, but my Downloadable Products are not being imported. Why?

Even though Downloadable Products are based on Simple Products in WooCommerce, they require one extra step to be imported correctly.

To fix this:

  1. Go to your Air WP Sync for WooCommerce connection settings and make sure the Downloadable Product option is selected under the type of product to sell.
  2. In your Airtable base:
    • Set the Product Type to simple
    • Make sure the Downloadable checkbox field is checked for each product that should be downloadable.
caution

If that checkbox is not checked, the product will be treated as a regular Simple Product.

How do I share my integration?

Integrations don't have access to any pages or databases in your workspace at first. A user must share specific pages with an integration before it can access them via the API.

Start from a new or existing page in your workspace. Insert a new database and give it a title. Click the Share button, use the selector to find your integration by its name, then click Invite.

Where do I find the Notion Content Block?

In WordPress edit mode, add a Gutenberg block and search for "Notion Content Block" in the block search bar.

Why don't I see my Notion columns in the selection list?

1. Check your Notion API Key

Ensure you have entered the correct Notion Integration Token in the plugin settings. You can generate an API key from Notion → Settings & Members → Integrations.

2. Verify Database Sharing Permissions

Your Notion database must be shared with the integration. Open your Notion database, click Share, and ensure your integration has access.

3. Refresh the Connection

Sometimes Notion takes time to sync new columns. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration.

4. Confirm Column Types

Only supported field types (Text, Number, Date, etc.) will appear in the selection list. Some advanced Notion fields (e.g., Relations, Rollups) may not be compatible. For Notion WP Sync, advanced Notion fields require special mapping — refer to our documentation for detailed instructions.

5. Check for API Limitations

Notion's API can sometimes delay updates. Try waiting a few minutes and refreshing the page.
