You can now export WooCommerce products directly to Airtable, and use your existing catalog as the starting point for a more centralized, collaborative and automated product management workflow.

We’re excited to introduce one of the most requested features for Air WP Sync for WooCommerce: the ability to export existing WooCommerce products directly to Airtable.

Until now, Air WP Sync for WooCommerce made it possible to create and manage products in Airtable and synchronize them with WooCommerce. This works perfectly when Airtable is already at the center of your product management workflow.

But many businesses come to us with a different situation: they already have an established WooCommerce store, sometimes with hundreds or thousands of products, and now want to centralize and manage that catalog in Airtable.

That is exactly what this new export feature makes possible.

Export WooCommerce products directly to Airtable

With the new Export feature, you can send your existing WooCommerce products to the official Air WP Sync for WooCommerce Airtable template.

Instead of manually recreating your product catalog in Airtable, you can now start from what already exists in your store.

The process is straightforward:

  1. Connect your Airtable base
  2. Create a new Export connection
  3. Select the WooCommerce product type you want to export
  4. Review or adjust the field mapping
  5. Run the export

Your WooCommerce product data is then sent to Airtable, creating or updating the corresponding records in the template.

This may sound like a simple new feature. In practice, it opens up a completely new workflow.

Start with your existing WooCommerce store

This is the key change.

You no longer need to start with an empty WooCommerce catalog or manually rebuild your existing products in Airtable before using Air WP Sync for WooCommerce.

You can start with the store you already have.

Your products, your existing catalog and your current WooCommerce setup remain in place. The new export feature gives you a practical way to populate Airtable from that existing data and prepare your catalog for centralized management.

For established stores, this removes one of the biggest barriers to adopting an Airtable-based product management workflow.

From WooCommerce to Airtable, then back to WooCommerce

The export is only the first step.

Once your existing products are available in Airtable, you can configure Air WP Sync for WooCommerce to update those same products from Airtable.

The workflow becomes:

WooCommerce → Airtable → WooCommerce

First, you export your existing catalog to Airtable.

Then, you create an Import connection and configure the synchronization so that existing WooCommerce products are matched using their SKU.

Why the SKU?

Because it provides a stable identifier shared between Airtable and WooCommerce. The plugin can recognize an existing product and update it instead of creating a duplicate.

From that point on, changes made in Airtable can be synchronized back to the corresponding WooCommerce products.

Prices, stock information, descriptions and other mapped product data can be maintained from Airtable and reflected in your store.

And with recurring synchronization enabled, those updates can happen automatically according to the schedule that fits your workflow.

Turn Airtable into a real product management hub

This is where the new feature becomes particularly powerful.

WooCommerce is an excellent e-commerce platform, but managing a large or complex product catalog directly from the WordPress administration interface is not always the most efficient workflow.

Airtable gives teams a different way to work with product data:

  • organize large catalogs with custom views and filters
  • edit product information in a spreadsheet-like interface
  • collaborate across marketing, e-commerce and operations teams
  • prepare and validate product data before publication
  • manage bulk updates more efficiently
  • connect product data with other business processes
  • build automations around catalog management

For example, a marketing team can prepare product content in dedicated views. An e-commerce manager can review pricing or publication status. An operations team can work with stock-related information. Automations can notify team members, trigger validation steps or connect the catalog to other tools.

And all of this can happen without asking every team member to manage products directly inside WordPress.

Part of a broader Airtable ecosystem

Air WP Sync for WooCommerce also includes Air WP Sync Pro+, giving you access to advanced Airtable-to-WordPress synchronization features beyond WooCommerce products. And if you also need to send form submissions to Airtable, Gravity Forms to Airtable makes it easy to connect your WordPress forms to the same Airtable-based workflows.

A much easier path for existing WooCommerce stores

This new feature is especially useful if you:

  • already have a WooCommerce store with an existing product catalog
  • want to move product management to Airtable
  • need a more collaborative interface for managing product data
  • want to automate catalog updates
  • need to connect product management with other workflows and business tools
  • want to progressively centralize your e-commerce operations without rebuilding your store from scratch

The important point is that you can work from your existing catalog.

No unnecessary product recreation. No need to delete your current products. No need to rebuild your e-commerce store just to introduce a better product management workflow.

One export. A lot of new possibilities.

The new Export feature is more than a convenience.

It makes Air WP Sync for WooCommerce relevant to a much broader range of real-world WooCommerce projects — especially established stores that want to improve the way they manage product data without starting over.

You can now:

export your WooCommerce products to Airtable, organize and manage them there, then keep your existing WooCommerce catalog updated through synchronization.

That closes the loop.

And it opens the door to more structured, collaborative and automated product management workflows.
